Data collection on our website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the legal notice on this website.

How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected, firstly, when you provide it to us. This may include, for example, data that you enter into a contact form.

Other data is automatically collected by our IT systems when you visit the website. This consists mainly of technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or the time the page was accessed). This data is collected automatically as soon as you access our website.

What do we use your data for?

Some of the data is collected to ensure the website functions correctly. Other data may be used to analyse your usage behaviour.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right at any time to obtain, free of charge, information about the source, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification, restriction or erasure of this data. You may contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice regarding this matter and any other questions relating to data protection. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.

You also have the right, in certain circumstances, to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted. For further details, please refer to the privacy policy under ‘Right to restriction of processing’.

Analytics tools and third-party tools

When you visit our website, your browsing behaviour may be analysed for statistical purposes. This only happens if you consent to the ‘Statistics’ category in the cookie banner, using cookies and so-called analytics tools. You can withdraw your consent at any time. You can find detailed information in the section ‘Analytics tools’ of this privacy policy.

General information and mandatory details

Privacy Policy

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

When you use this website, various items of personal data are collected. Personal data is data that can be used to identify you personally. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be vulnerable to security breaches. It is not possible to guarantee complete protection of data against access by third parties.

Information regarding the data controller

The organisation responsible for data processing on this website is:

PHREALOG
Gernsbacherstrasse 1
76530 Baden-Baden, Germany

Telephone: +49 7221/923899-0
Email: grundwasser@phrealog.de

The data controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You may withdraw any consent you have already given at any time. To do so, simply send us an informal email. The lawfulness of any data processing carried out prior to the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Right to object to data collection in specific cases and to direct marketing (Article 21 of the GDPR)

Where data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(e) or (f) of the GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The specific legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this privacy policy. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data in question, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims (objection under Article 21(1) of the GDPR).

If your personal data is processed for the purposes of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of such marketing; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will no longer be used for the purposes of direct marketing (objection under Article 21(2) of the GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract provided to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another data controller, this will only take place to the extent that it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential information – such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the website operator – this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar in your browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar.

If SSL or TLS encryption is enabled, the data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Access, restriction, erasure and rectification

In accordance with the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain, free of charge, information about your stored personal data, its source and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, and, where applicable, the right to have this data rectified, restricted or erased. You may contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice regarding this matter and any other queries relating to personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted. To do so, you may contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice. The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data held by us, we will usually need some time to verify this. For the duration of this verification, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.
  • If the processing of your personal data has been or is being carried out unlawfully, you may request that the processing of your data be restricted instead of it being erased.
  • If we no longer require your personal data, but you require it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted rather than deleted.
  • If you have lodged an objection under Article 21(1) of the GDPR, a balancing of your interests against ours must be carried out. Until it has been determined whose interests take precedence, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data – apart from its storage – may only be processed with your consent, or for the purpose of establishing, exercising or defending legal claims, or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

Objection to promotional emails

We hereby object to the use of contact details published in accordance with the legal requirement to provide an imprint for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising being sent, for example via spam emails.

Data collection on our website

Cookies

Some of the web pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are known as ‘session cookies’. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

Cookies that are necessary for the execution of the electronic communication process or for the provision of specific functions requested by you (e.g. the shopping basket function) are stored on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure the technically fault-free and optimised provision of its services. Where other cookies (e.g. cookies used to analyse your browsing behaviour) are stored, these are dealt with separately in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in what are known as server log files, which your browser automatically sends to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the connecting computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not combined with other data sources.

This data is collected on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in ensuring that its website functions without technical faults and in optimising it – to this end, the server log files must be collected.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, we will store the details you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact details you have provided there, for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in the event of any follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore carried out solely on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time. To do so, simply send us an informal email. The lawfulness of any data processing carried out prior to the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

The data you enter in the contact form will be retained by us until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent to its storage, or the purpose for which the data is stored no longer applies (e.g. once your enquiry has been dealt with). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Analytics tools

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (‘Google’), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables us to analyse how visitors use our website. We receive various usage data, for example page views, time spent on the site, operating systems used and the origin of visitors. This data is assigned to the respective device, not to a person. To recognise returning visitors, Google Analytics sets cookies (for example _ga and _ga_MXS1HN8RFK) with a storage period of up to two years.

Google Analytics is only loaded once you consent to the ‘Statistics’ category in the cookie banner. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. The collected data may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR). Data in Google Analytics is deleted after 14 months at the latest.

For more information, please see Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Microsoft Clarity

This website uses Microsoft Clarity. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.

Clarity records how visitors use our website, for example mouse movements, clicks and scrolling. This produces heatmaps and recordings of individual visits, which we use to improve the usability of our website. Input in form fields is masked by default. Clarity sets cookies (for example _clck, _clsk, CLID and MUID) with a storage period of up to one year.

Clarity is linked to our Google Analytics account. Clarity data is transferred to Google Analytics and analysed there together with the analytics data.

Clarity is only loaded once you consent to the ‘Statistics’ category in the cookie banner. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

The collected data may be transferred to Microsoft Corporation in the USA. Microsoft is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR).

For more information, please see Microsoft’s privacy statement: https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-gb/privacystatement.

Withdrawing your consent to analytics

You can withdraw your consent to the ‘Statistics’ category at any time with effect for the future. To do so, open the cookie settings via the button at the edge of the screen and deselect ‘Statistics’. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity will then no longer be loaded, and the related cookies will be deleted.

We use OpenStreetMap, a service provided by the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB 4 0 WS, United Kingdom, hereinafter referred to simply as ‘OpenStreetMap’, to provide directions.
